The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas 2005 will include events for entertaining and networking both on and off the show floor. The official JCK Annual Welcome Reception and Product Preview will kick off the festivities on June 3 at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino’s Grand Ballroom. Guests will be the first to preview a sampling of new jewelry designs from world-class exhibitors. After the preview, The Blues Brothers Revival will entertain attendees at a dance party.
To help kick off The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas 2005’s networking opportunities, the Women’s Jewelry Association is hosting DIVA Las Vegas. This annual awards ceremony and cocktail reception will honor the winners of the WJA DIVA Design Competition, which was established to showcase the design work of up-and-coming women designers in the jewelry industry and to foster their talent with monetary prizes.
The Jewelers For Children Annual Desert Golf Tournament will take place June 2. The event includes breakfast, lunch, and all golf fees. JFC will also hold its sixth annual Facets of Hope Gala on June 5 to celebrate the yearlong fundraising efforts that are supported by members of the fine-jewelry industry. The dinner, which will be held in the Bellagio Hotel’s Grand Ballroom, will honor Sue Gove, executive vice president of Zale Corp., and David and Sybil Yurman, the founders and owners of David Yurman Inc. All proceeds collected during the JFC events will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For added convenience, The JCK Show will provide complimentary shuttle buses from the Venetian Hotel to the event.
The Le Vian Red Carpet Review 2006 Celebrity Fashion Show takes place June 5. Modeling Le Vian designs and the featured winning piece from the Le Vian For Children design competition that benefits Jewelers For Children will be noted Hollywood actors, TV stars, rescued Iraqi POW Jessica Lynch, Mrs. America 2005, and many more. Le Vian will donate all proceeds from the event to JFC and will match monies raised up to $50,000.
The JCK Show’s 12th Annual Designer’s Live Auction, featuring one-of-a-kind jewels and art pieces created by JCK Show designers, takes place June 4. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Future of Design Education Fund, a charitable trust that fosters the futures of fellow designers. Participants can enjoy cocktails, socialize, and bid for various items.
