We’ve received more terrific news here at JCK. We recently undertook an online research study to take the pulse of the industry with regard to people’s perception of JCK and the other trade magazines in the jewelry business.
We are thrilled with the results.
JCK is perceived as the highest-quality and most authoritative publication, and the true “Industry Authority.” When compared with the other publications, JCK ranked No. 1 on 14 attributes, including the following (percentage of respondents who chose JCK is in parentheses):

In many instances, JCK‘s ranking was three to four times higher than the closest competitor.
Equally exciting, the survey showed that this perception of editorial quality has a halo effect on our advertisers. When asked which magazine has the “ads you are most likely to respond to,” JCK ranked No. 1 with 52 percent—a number higher than that of the other four magazines combined.
There’s no doubt that our competitors are strong and keep us on our toes. Indeed, we think that this industry is one where healthy competition is good for all. That said, we’re especially pleased to have done so well in this survey. It’s our continuing goal to be perceived as the book of record for this business, and we’ll continue to dedicate our efforts to maintaining that position.
