NEW GOLD COMPANY FORMED IN N.Y.

Mehmet Uca, the former managing director of Atasay Gold Inc., has left his position to form his own company, Dynasty Gold Jewelers Inc.

RONA K. CORP. CHANGES DISTRIBUTION

Rona K. Corp., Garden City, N.Y., has reorganized management, doubled its factory size, and appointed new members to its board of directors.

The company is now the only distributor selling The Kids. Previously, Rona K. used an outside distributor. It has begun accepting Mastercard, Visa, and American Express as well as first- and second-rated Jewelers Board of Trade accounts.

Rona Bishop has been appointed vice president and director of marketing at Rona K. Henry Bergman is the new director of sales. Shirley Cohen, chief financial officer, and Chad Gessin, director of graphic design/advertising, are joining the home-based staff.

Rona K. continues to pursue all manufacturers infringing on The Kids’ trademark on a state and federal level with the aid of the U.S. Treasury Department, the New York State district attorney, and the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JCK, October 1998, p. 136).
