London’s Stephen Webster, who has established an international brand and created jewelry for high-profile celebrities like Madonna, recently tackled a new challenge—scooters.
Webster, known for his vibrant gemstone jewelry, is one of nine artists—representing areas from fashion to shoe design—to create an accessorized scooter to be auctioned for the benefit of Action on Addiction. The charity benefit has been dubbed Rolling Rocks.
Webster’s scooter is covered in green and purple gemstones ringed with chrome barbed wire. The design is finished with a purple faux snakeskin seat. “I wanted to combine the two-wheeled convenience with the freedom of the road and give the scooter a ‘biker-chic’ look,” says Webster.
Other Rolling Rocks designers included Vivienne Westwood and Jimmy Choo.
