Richemont, the Swiss luxury goods group, has appointed Henry-John Belmont as chief executive of its watch division, which includes the luxury brands Jaeger-LeCoultre, Piaget, Baume & Mercier, IWC, Vacheron Constantin, A. Lange & Söhne, and Officine Panerai.
Belmont also has been named a director of Richemont Société Anonyme, the group’s management board. He succeeds Günther Blümlein, who died at the beginning of October. The appointment was announced Oct. 28. Belmont, the former chief executive of Jaeger-LeCoultre, was a longtime colleague of Blümlein at Les Manufactures Horlogères (LMH) prior to its acquisition by Richemont last year.
Franco Cologni continues as executive chairman of both Cartier and Richemont’s watch division.
