OMAS shared the art of writing during the fourth annual New Yorker Festival in September. Maker of the official writing instrument of the New Yorker Festival and a supporting sponsor, OMAS presented each of the festival’s writers, cartoonists, and screenwriters with monogrammed Vision pens, one of the latest collections by OMAS.
The New Yorker Festival, a three-day literary and arts celebration, included nearly 50 events in venues all around the city—fiction readings, panels, lectures, and performances. Eric Aliamus, president of OMAS, presented the gift of a monogrammed Vision pen to honorees including Richard Price, A. S. Byatt, Michael Cunningham, Jeffrey Eugenides, Simon Schama, Calvin Trillin, Jhumpa Lahiri, Susan Orlean, Sherman Alexie, Zadie Smith, Maile Meloy, Nora Ephron, Robert Towne, and Andy Borowitz.
During the weekend, many authors signed their books with the Vision pens at the Festival headquarters, located at Barnes & Noble in Union Square. The OMAS booth showcased many of the newly introduced pens such as the Limited Edition Casanova, 360 Mezzo, and 360 Celluloid as well as the traditional Arte Italiano and Ogiva models.
