Michael Paolercio was recently elected president of the Plumb Club of New York. For the past 25 years, Paolercio has been co-chairman and chief executive of Michael Anthony Jewelers, Mount Vernon, N.Y. In addition to his long involvement with the Plumb Club, he also is an officer of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC); serves on the board of directors of the Jewelers Charity Fund and Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA); is a member of the 24 Karat Club of New York; and is a former member of the executive committee of the Jewelry Information Center (JIC). He has been a member of TEC, the International Organization of CEOs, since 1986.
Other elected officers for 2003 include Victor Weinman, DesignWorks Jewelry Group Ltd., vice president; Joel Schechter, Honora Industries Inc., treasurer; and Gary Flyer, Martin Flyer Inc., secretary.
In other news, the Plumb Club has announced the acceptance of six new members: Color Craft, New York; Chippenhook Corp., Flower Mound, Texas; Kirchner Corp., Minneapolis; Rosy Blue, New York; Stuller Inc., Lafayette, La.; and Zodiac Watch, Bienne, Switzerland.
