Two recipients recently received National Metalsmiths 2003 Hall of Fame awards—John Paul Miller in the Artist category and Heikki Sepp™ in the Arts Educator division. Miller is a master of precious metal granulation whose work is in the collections of the Smithsonian Institution’s Renwick Gallery, Yale University, and the Cleveland Museum of Art, as well as in many private collections. Sepp™ is recognized as the principal developer and proponent of the reticulation, roll printing, and shell structure techniques in contemporary metalsmithing. His work appears in more than 200 collections including those at Kent State University and the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
