Montblanc, a designer, manufacturer, and retailer of fine writing instruments, watches, leather goods, eyewear, and fragrance, has announced a partnership with Baz Luhrmann’s production of Puccini’s La Bohème on Broadway. As part of the strategic partnership, Catherine Martin, the two-time Academy Award-winning designer for Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge, will conceptualize windows for the luxury brand’s 49 free-standing boutiques nationwide. The windows will be unveiled in mid-November, a few days prior to the opening of La Bohème.
Martin’s windows will interweave scenes from Luhrmann’s La Bohème with Montblanc’s La Bohème Writing Instrument and La vie de Bohème Leather Collections.
La Bohème began previews at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway at 53rd Street) Nov. 26 and opened Dec. 8.
