Eddie LeVian, designer and CEO of LeVian Corp., recently presented former U.S. Army Pfc. Jessica Lynch with an ensemble of patriotic jewelry. Lynch, the young POW/MIA who last year was dramatically rescued by U.S. forces in Iraq, received the gift at the 28th Annual Mrs. America pageant in September. The pageant is sponsored by LeVian.
Along with the $15,000 in jewelry, Lynch also was presented with a patchwork quilt that was woven by the 50 contestants in the pageant.
The jewelry included a white gold necklace featuring the initials “USA” bead-set in red, white, and blue with .75 cts. of rubies, sapphires, and diamonds; a white gold Art Deco-style red, white, and blue American flag pin containing 1.40 cts. rubies and sapphires; white gold double hoop earrings featuring stripes of blue and red with 4.90 cts. of blue and red sapphires; and a white gold ring in a concave cigar-band design pavé-set with a star-shaped diamond pattern featuring red and blue sapphire accents.
