By age 15, Joseph Keith Ronquillo had learned to silversmith at his father’s downtown Houston store. By 17, he’d decided to design his own line and open his own store.
Ten years later he did: The 1,280-square-foot boutique carries Ronquillo’s own handcrafted wares, plus a few dazzlers by his father, Renato (the sole certified Jewelers of America Master Bench Jeweler in Houston and southeast Texas).
“Everything we sell is one-of-a-kind,” says Ronquillo. “Not brand names.”
He describes his styles as “everyday pieces that are meant to be layered.”
The price points are pretty everyday as well: Most are within the $50–$1,500 range.
