Requests for grants from The JCK Jewelry Industry Fund will be accepted until Dec. 1, 2001, one month later than previously announced. The names of the 2002 grant recipients will be announced at JCK‘s Industry Party—”Mardi Gras in Orlando!”—on Feb 2, 2002, at the Orange County Convention Center.
The grants will be awarded to individuals, groups, or associations whose efforts are devoted to the promotion and benefit of the jewelry industry. Distribution of the grants will again be administered by the Fund Advisory Committee, made up of representatives from manufacturing, retailing, JCK magazine, and The JCK Shows.
Grants are made on an annual basis and cannot be used to replace or substitute for an existing funding source for an ongoing program. Requests for grants must be made in writing and note the purpose of the grant; the amount requested; and the timing of the receipt and expenditure of the funds. In addition, the applicants must include an agreement that JCK has the right to reasonable financial analysis and controls to ensure the funds are spent in accordance with the grant request.
Requests for 2002 grants should be sent no later than Dec. 1, 2001, to The JCK Shows, Attn: Dave Bonaparte, Vice President, 383 Main Ave., Norwalk, CT 06851. For more information, contact Simone Lipton, (201) 592-6979.
