Swiss watch company Jaeger-LeCoultre has partnered with actor Leonardo DiCaprio in its Time to Care program to benefit the Leonardo DiCaprio Fund, which works to spur awareness and action on environmental issues.
Two limited-edition watches with never-before-used technology are being sold this fall at new Jaeger-LeCoultre Boutiques in Boca Raton, Fla., and Beverly Hills, Calif. One is a $300,000 Master Compressor Extreme Lab, with the first mechanical movement to operate without any lubricant, worn by DiCaprio to the premiere of his documentary The 11th Hour. The second is a $400,000 platinum Reverso Gyrotourbillon 2, created for Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 175th anniversary this year, with a first-ever spherical tourbillon. All proceeds from sales go to the Leonardo DiCaprio Fund.
