Gold, September–October 2016: Arrow Jewelry and More

TREND GAME

Arrow Smiths

Jewelry designers are besotted with arrow motifs. Both Sofia Kaman and Samuel B. have transformed the ancient weapon into wrap-around-the-finger–style rings, while Lynn Ban’s blackened arrow jewels evoke notions of armor, defense, and protection. Ban tells JCK she especially loves “the tribal aspect of the arrow piercing through the lobe juxtaposed with the primness of a pearl.”

Fans of Pyrrha’s silver talismans of love and empowerment will fall fast for the same Victorian-inspired wax seal and personalized styles in a new reclaimed 14k gold line. Plus, with retail prices starting at $118, it’s easy to get hooked on Pyrrha’s over-the-top adorableness. (Exhibit A: the fox bangle pictured here.)

“Our primary business is diamonds and estate jewelry. People bring us a lot of traditional fashion rings and chains, and about half of our inventory is estate jewelry.”
