The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its first school in Europe, which opened in Vicenza, Italy, in February 1992. In addition, students can take the Design course as well as Diamond Grading, Gem Identification, and Colored Stone Grading classes on campus. The GIA Italy branch has hosted students from as far away as India, China, Korea, and the United States, and its location near Venice offers easy access to students from other European cities and the Middle East.
