Fossil Inc. has entered into a license agreement with fashion apparel and accessories firm Marc Jacobs International to develop and distribute women’s and men’s watches under the Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs labels.
The Marc Jacobs watches will debut in fall 2005 with limited distribution. They’ll be followed in 2006 by a Marc by Marc Jacobs collection. The watches will be Swiss made and available at Marc Jacobs boutiques and select department stores domestically and internationally.
The Marc Jacobs watches will combine classic elements and luxurious materials, according to a Fossil announcement. The Marc by Marc Jacobs collection will be “more lighthearted” in design, offering a wide selection of styles.
The Marc Jacobs company is an international brand with a global network of stores. It produces women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories.
Fossil, based in Richardson, Texas, designs, develops, markets, and distributes fashion watches under its own brands (Fossil, Relic, MW Michele, and Zodiac) and under license with Emporio Armani, DKNY, Diesel, and Burberry.
