Shoppers searching for a product on eBay will now be told whether they can buy that item at local stores, the company announced March 31.
The e-commerce giant’s new “local shopping” tab will check a product’s availability and price at nearby brick-and-mortar retailers. The results are powered by local search engine Milo, which eBay purchased in December.
The site, which targets “small entrepreneurs,” currently lists products from approximately 50,000 stores.
