The Diamond Council of America (DCA) elected new board members following the organization’s semi-annual board meeting during The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas.
Bruce Kenny, senior vice president of store planning and real estate, Sterling Jewelers Inc., was named chairman; Randy McCullough, president and CEO, Samuels Inc., was named chairman-elect; and Herbert Ledbetter, Windsor Jewelers, Augusta, Ga., was elected secretary/treasurer.
DCA’s board also elected Kate Peterson, Performance Concepts, and David Rocha, senior vice president of Jewelers of America, as directors. DCA president and CEO Terry W. Chandler noted, “Traditionally, DCA has limited board appointments to member executives. Electing Kate and David to our board adds depth and perspective and will broaden DCA’s industry involvement.”
Other newly elected board members include: vice president—Jeffrey Zimmer, Reeds Jewelers; vice president—Steve Robbins, Robbins Brothers; director—Bob Weber, King’s Jewelry; president emeritus—Gerald Robbins, Robbins Diamonds; and past chairman—Jeffrey Comment, Helzberg Diamonds.
