A Band for All Seasons
Dallas-based designer Dian Malouf recently took stock of the bridal jewelry offerings for men in the market for stylish rings: Of the 18 jewelry stores she visited, she didn’t spy a single interesting men’s design. “I felt that the options available to men bordered on the noninteresting, wearisome, and downright boring,” she recalls.
So Malouf decided to do something about that. She created several bold and decidedly uncommon offerings featuring braiding, zigzag designs, skulls, and two-tone metals—silver and 14k yellow gold. Each of the 18 new bridal SKUs for men is hand-carved in wax and cast in square shapes, some with diamonds. Retail prices range from $185 to $3,200, with all items made in the United States (of imported materials).
