The American Gem Society has created a fundraising campaign on behalf of the Jewelers Charity Fund for Children. The new campaign is called “Unity for Charity, The AGS Way to Discovery & Dreams.” The fundraising kicked off at the AGS 2001 Conclave in Nashville, Tenn., and will continue throughout the year.

In addition to financial contributions, it is the mission of the society to raise industry and public awareness of each of the charities JCF supports: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Cathy Calhoun, CGA, Zenker Jewelers, Royersford, Pa., is the AGS committee chair for the Unity for Charity campaign.
