If yesterday’s blog post is any indication, I am fully in the holiday spirit (and the earrings featured yesterday fit the description of today’s highlighted jewels, too). Today’s topic of discussion: decorative wreaths. Well, in earring form, anyway.
Loops, door knockers, open circles—they go by many names, but all roughly adhere to the same shape: a round, doughnut style, that faces outward when worn on the ear, as opposed to the side view that you get with a true hoop earring.
The holiday-obsessed theme this article describes is partially coincidental—this form of earring has been trending for some time now. While its cousin the hoop earring has been busy making waves, this remains its statelier, slightly more sophisticated counterpart (though I personally support wearing either anywhere, any time). If red carpets can tell me anything, it’s that this particular style is a hit for formal occasions, so it’s an ideal choice for the upcoming holiday season.
The selection you see here mixes it up with dramatic dripping diamonds—a best friend to the black tie event—and more casual creations that are just as at home with a denim ensemble as a gown loaded with shimmering beads.
A direction to point your shoppers in for the holidays, but also a tried-and-true style that promises to maintain its upward trajectory well into the new year.
