The Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) Foundation has appointed Kathy Hillelson, a second-generation diamantaire and CEO of OWL Financial Group, to its board of directors.
Hillelson comes to the board with 15 years of industry experience. She’s headed OWL, which provides asset-backed financial solutions for the industry, since 2011. She also continues to play a role in Blue River Gems, her family’s diamond and jewelry business.
Hillelson is an active member of such industry groups as the World Diamond Council and the Jewelers Vigilance Committee.
WJA Foundation president Nikia Levesque-Meyer said in a statement, “Kathy’s lifelong connection to the diamond industry and her deep-rooted passion for fine jewelry bring a fresh and inspiring energy to our team.”
The WJA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that offers scholarships and grants to support jewelry professionals’ education and career growth.
