A new collection of wedding rings allows the designer’s bold, architecturally inspired signature style to pop
Delphine Leymarie’s smooth karat gold and silver styles with sculpted motifs such as heartbeats are easily recognizable, but her new wedding jewelry collection may inspire a double take. Bohème is a departure—albeit a refreshing one with a bohemian-chic vibe—from Leymarie’s typical metal-intense looks in that it has raised-bead design elements on the surface of shanks. Metal choices are are either rose, white, yellow or oxidized black 18k gold (or silver) executed in contemporary looks such as open stacker settings, clusters of fancy shapes, and fancy-shape colored stone centers.
“We offer eight different ring models and setting silhouettes,” she explains.
Think round solitaires; Venus or oval shapes that are centered or set north-south; Diademes octagon shapes that are side set; Elise rectangle silhouettes that are off-center; Zoë ovals that are centered or set east-west; princess-cut squares that are off-center; Muse rectangles that are centered; and Léa small centered rounds. Three band options exist to date, though she offers about a dozen others from other collections.
Gemstones including the usual suspects—diamonds and sapphires—but also include tourmalines, mint beryls, amethysts, and more. “We are using ethically sourced or certified post-consumer stones as much as possible, which makes most rings one of a kind,” she says.
