WatchBox, the collectible timepiece company, has appointed Diane James (pictured) to be its director of strategic brands.
Before coming to the Philadelphia-based e-tailer, James worked as vice president of Kaiser Time for 18 years. The consultancy’s founder and namesake, Steven Kaiser, died in May.
At Kaiser Time, James developed and introduced products and services for the Swiss watch industry, netting experience in business development, executive recruiting, and education and training initiatives.
“After 20 years of mentorship and partnership with Steven Kaiser, I couldn’t imagine a better opportunity for my next professional chapter,” said James in a statement, calling WatchBox “a pioneer in its approach to collecting luxury watches.”
In the same statement, WatchBox executive chairman and cofounder Danny Govberg hailed James’ “considerable talent, knowledge, and perspective of the watch industry.”
