Statement jewelry is back, but as consumers decide which pieces to stand out with this year, versatility is key.
Savvy shoppers want jewelry that catches people’s eyes while avoiding any sort of novelty that will become tiresome over time—in other words, an enduring purchase to reach for again and again.
Vendorafa’s latest line is it: bearing a unique influence that you won’t see coming and going, made up of pieces that can easily mix and match with styles from other brands and designers should customers wish to curate their own collections.
Torre, Italian for tower, is the name of this collection inspired by castle architecture, with rectangular insets in repetitive steps, seen often in medieval battlements and towers.
“Incorporated as either decorative or functional, the long walls and round towers were considered strong, elegant, and resistant to siege,” according to Vendorafa’s notes on the collection. “They provided the perception of strength, power, and protection, allowing for defenders to safeguard their property from enemies and launch defensive artillery. The highly distinctive pattern also on churches presented an added element of beauty in architecture and design, emulating the functional architecture to defend and protect.”
The collection’s rings, hoop and stud earrings, cuff bracelets, and necklace are all in a soft yellow gold, complete with a hand-hammered matte finish and diamond accents. The inside of each piece is detailed with a pattern of open hearts.
Torre made its debut at the Centurion show in March and will be available to U.S. retailers for summer 2023.
