Welcome to day one of the JCK Vegas Show! I’m terribly excited to be back in Las Vegas for the Big Show and eager to see what new and inspiring looks exhibitors have toted to Mandalay Bay from around the world. My schedule is jam-packed with fun appointments, seminars, and even a bit of man-on-the-street reporting for JCK TV.

Jewelry retailers, I’m looking to talk to you about what you’re looking for, what fantastic products you’ve already found, and how you’ll be filling your “off” hours here in Sin City—so be sure to say “hello” to the lady with the mic lingering just outside the show floor! When I’m not cruising the trade show, I’ll be visiting and reporting on JCK’s many auxiliary events and presentations. Here are a few I’m very revved up about:

Late Night Lounge at ARIA at CityCenter

The upscale ARIA at CityCenter resort is playing host to a few after-hours show events this year. I’ll be stopping by the Late Night Lounge at Bar Moderno — a perfect, swanky spot to throw back a mojito or two with old and new friends. Which means I’ll be ordering up a Red Bull right around 8 p.m. The Vegas way!

Plumb Club Breakfast Featuring Speaker Steve Forbes

The Plumb Club, a coalition of leading jewelry manufacturers, will host its annual breakfast, featuring what’s sure to be a riveting speech by world-renowned economist, businessman, and publisher Steve Forbes.

“Retail Roundup: Top Issues Retailers Face Today” Seminar

JCK Editor-in-Chief Victoria Gomelsky moderates a star-studded panel of retailers — Sean Moore of Borsheim’s Fine Jewelry & Gifts, Jennifer Gandia of Greenwich Jewelers, Michael Koll-Nesher of Imperiale Joyerias, and Victoria Mazzarese of Mazzarese Jewelers — in a discussion that’s bound to go anywhere, but focuses on challenges modern jewelry retailers are currently facing.
