Young jewelry brand Veert has launched a new jewelry collection in partnership with Instagram, to be sold exclusively through its handle on the social media app, @itsveert.
The collection, which comprises jewelry and a porcelain bowl, is available starting today through Dec. 15, in limited quantity and can be purchased using Instagram’s in-app checkout feature.
The product drop premieres today via a live shopping event, hosted by Dennis Todisco of Instagram and featuring Veert founder Julia Lang, as well as hip-hop artists Westside Gunn and Swizz Beats.
The event comes as a celebration just in time for Veert’s first anniversary—a year the budding brand has managed to make incredibly successful.
“In a time when we’re being separated and isolated from each other, hope and inclusivity is needed now more than ever,” said Julia Lang in a statement, at the time of Veert’s November 2020 debut. “We don’t just want to birth another product. We want to be the catalyst of empowerment, healing energy, and unity. Traditional gender separation won’t exist within our products and collections. We truly believe that Veert is meant to bring us all together. All ages, ethnicities, geographic areas, and gender identities are tied together by an undeniable longing for tastefulness and positive self-expression.”
The drop’s exclusive product line includes two 3-D logo necklaces (in macro and micro sizes) with enamel in 18k gold vermeil and a gold-plated porcelain bowl featuring a Kama Sutra leaf design. The necklaces, which are handmade, are limited to 115 pieces each; the bowl, also handmade in Germany, is limited to 55 pieces.
The shopping event comes as Instagram ramps up its holiday efforts to spotlight small businesses and creators on its platform, driving users to its shopping function that keeps transactions in-app. The ‘Gram will be hosting a Holiday Pop-Up Shop Live series Dec. 5–15, with more details slated to come.
