Van Cleef & Arpels is not one to shy away from the world of horology. Oftentimes, as with the recently released Heures Florales timepiece that showcases the blossoming and closing of diamond and enamel flowers with the passing of hours, the jeweler takes the creativity of watchmaking to the next level. But now, Van Cleef & Arpels has debuted a more wearable assortment of timepieces to its Perlée jewelry collection, which was first introduced in 2018, that keeps consistent with the beaded design elements of the previously released jewels.
According to the brand, the newest addition to the collection “is the meeting of watchmaking savoir faire and jewelry inspiration. Its bold creations are ideal to mix and match, coming together in infinite combinations to express a personal style.” Essentially, it’s the perfect partnership of jewelry design and watchmaking suitable for daily wear.
Starting at $8,000 and going up to at least $66,000, each watch has a beaded outer bezel for a dimensional effect and either a woven grosgrain bracelet in black, blue, or white, or a pure rose or yellow gold one. The dials are available in a range of sizes (23 mm to 30 mm) and finishes (gold, mother-of-pearl, and onyx—and some feature a sunburst effect).
