Members of the Tous family have regained full control of their namesake jewelry brand, after purchasing Partners Group’s 25% stake.
Partners Group, a Baar, Switzerland–based investment fund, bought the one-quarter share of Tous in 2015. But now “the time frame set by both parties has been exceeded,” according to a Tous statement.
Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia reported the Tous family paid $200 million to buy back Partners’ stake.
Carlos Soler Duffo remains Tous’ CEO, and the 104-year-old company will keep the governance structure it developed in cooperation with Partners Group.
While working with Partners Group, Tous boosted turnover by 75%, to reach a record 477 million euros (about $497 million) in 2023, according to the company statement.
