Julie Garcia (pictured), a nine-year veteran of Tiffany & Co., has been appointed vice president of sales for North America and Europe for lab-grown diamond retailer Vrai.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Garcia has served as director of Tiffany stores in Manhattan and Los Angeles. She also volunteers as a business mentor for the Lower Eastside Girls Club of NY.
Vrai president Mona Akhavi tells JCK that a “half a dozen new hires from LVMH and its brands [have] joined us in recent months.”
Martin Roscheisen, founder and CEO of Vrai’s parent Diamond Foundry, adds via email: “At Vrai we now see a wide-open opportunity, a bigger market for future-embracing jewelry, which we plan to take advantage of by opening 50 new showrooms.”
Vrai currently lists eight showrooms on its website, including five in the United States.
