Tiffany & Co. has appointed Frederic Cumenal as its new president.
Cumenal, 54, is currently Tiffany’s executive vice president, supervising global retail for all regions. He will retain his regional responsibilities and also assume responsibility for the design, merchandising, and marketing functions.
He joined the company in March 2011 from the LVMH Group, where he was president and chief executive officer of Moet & Chandon, the champagne company.
Cumenal replaces James E. Quinn, who retired in 2012.
In a statement, chairman and CEO Michael Kowalski said Cumenal “has brought a global luxury perspective to our brand management initiatives and, in particular, has led the evolution of our regional organizations to support our continued worldwide expansion.”
