Three new Bloomingdale’s Outlet stores will open in fall
2011, parent company Macy’s announced April 26.
Stores will open in the following shopping centers with an
upscale outlet store focus: Miromar Outlets, Estero, Fla. (September 2011);
Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, Wrentham, Mass. (October 2011); and Woodfield
Village Green, Schaumburg, Ill. (October 2011).
They will join the first four Bloomingdale’s Outlet stores,
which opened in fall 2010. Bloomingdale’s Outlet stores sell jewelry, as well as other apparel and
accessories.
The four initial Bloomingdale’s Outlet stores opened in fall
2010 in Bergen Town Center, Paramus, N.J.; Dolphin Mall, Miami, Fla.; Potomac
Mills, Woodbridge, Va.; and Sawgrass Mills, Sunrise, Fla.
“Our first four
outlet stores have helped us to learn this business and refine our
merchandising and in-store presentation,” said Michael Gould, chairman and
chief executive officer of Bloomingdale’s, in a statement. “We continue to see
opportunity for growth, and these three new locations will help us to extend
the geographic reach of Bloomingdale’s Outlets and introduce the concept to new
customers.”
