Six up and coming jewelry designer have been selected to make their trade show debut at The JCK Show – Las Vegas as “Rising Stars,” to be located within its Design Center. The 15th annual show will be held with a new date pattern from Saturday June 3 through Wednesday, June 7 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center and Venetian Hotel Resort & Casino.
”The Rising Star area gives the selected new designers an opportunity to introduce their work to the greater retail jewelry community while at the same time providing retailers with an ongoing assortment of new talent,” said Dave Bonaparte, Group Vice President for JCK Events. “This group represents the whole spectrum of designer jewelry from fashion-responsive trends to one-of-a-kind pieces that creatively mix stones and metals to produce truly unique and wearable art.”
The six selected designers are as follows:
Pamela Froman Fine Jewelry – Her collection is comprised mostly of one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces, and unique handmade chains, created from platinum, 22k, or a combination of carefully mixed colors of 18k gold. Pamela uses a technique called “Crushed,” to give her collection a textured, softer, and more natural feel to the metal. Alex Woo, Inc. – Alex Woo has been designing jewelry for more than five years. With her father, a master bench jeweler, serving as her mentor, she grew up learning an appreciation for gems, precious metals, and fine craftsmanship. She also studied fine arts and jewelry design at Cornell University, The American University of Paris, and Parsons School of Design. She balances the trendy “must have” and the classic into sleek and stylish designs that evoke the bold strength of today’s women. Fern Freeman Jewelry – The New York-based jewelry designer graduated from FIT and spent 25 years in the fashion industry before entering the fine jewelry business. In 1999, Fern began designing jewelry as a hobby. Working primarily in 22k gold and gems, she creates original pieces that are bold, daring, stylish, and dramatic.
