Symposium ’25, a daylong conference dedicated to retailer-focused learning and executive networking, is set for March 13 in New York City.

The second annual Symposium, hosted by the Plumb Club in partnership with JCK and founding sponsor Jewelers Mutual, will take place at City Winery on Pier 57, at West 15th Street.

In addition to this new venue, Symposium has made some changes to its format and roster of presentations, based on surveys of last year’s participants. Speakers and topics scheduled for the 2025 event are:

• Erica Keswin, Wall Street Journal best selling author, brand and workplace strategist — employee engagement, retention, and work-life balance

• Paul Aaron, CEO and cofounder of Addition, an AI marketing research and development company — AI jewelry applications

• Chris Voss, former FBI lead hostage negotiator, authority on high-stakes negotiation — employee engagement and communications

• Seth Mattison, management trendspotter, and coauthor of The War at Work — connecting with multiple generations, both internal to a company and the external customer

• Sheena Iyengar, director of Global Leadership Matrix, author of Think Bigger and The Art of Choosing — the power of choice and meaningful choices to spark innovation

• Frank Cespedes, professor at Harvard, faculty chair of Harvard Business School’s Aligning Strategy and Sales program — a case study pertinent to the jewelry industry

• Charles Duhigg, Pulitzer Prize–winning columnist for The New York Times Magazine, host of the podcast How To! — “Super Communicators: The Power of Conversation and Hidden Language of Connection”

Rounding out the educational sessions will be a panel moderated by JCK’s Victoria Gomelsky, in which retailers and suppliers will discuss how they can be of prime assistance to one another.

Symposium ’25 will also include networking time, a buffet breakfast, a luncheon, and a cocktail reception with wine and cheese pairings.

“We were thrilled with the success of our inaugural Symposium event in 2024, and we got great feedback from attendees. Additionally, we learned about the needs and desires of the attending retailers,” said Roger Forman, president of the Plumb Club, in a statement. “That is why we created a committee of renowned retail companies to help us build the most comprehensive event, filled with information that directly impacts our customers.

“An informed and knowledgeable industry is beneficial for everyone. Symposium ’25 further underscores two key pillars of the Plumb Club, which are education and innovation in the jewelry space.”
