Hoover & Strong introduces a new auction service

Hoover & Strong Introduces White Label Diamond Auction Services

Precious metals manufacturer Hoover & Strong has announced the introduction of a new white label auction service, myAuction. Offered to jewelry retailers worldwide, the service allows the customers of those retailers to sell their jewelry items online to industry-qualified buyers. Those customers can access the auction platform at any time via their retail jeweler’s website, in order to see their item or items (including 360-degree imaging), review the grading, and even accept or reject the highest bid on their items when the auction ends.

“There is a high demand from consumers to sell their unwanted jewelry at a fair price to a local, trusted business,” said Hoover & Strong president Torry Hoover in a press release. “Being able to promote recycled diamonds while providing retailers a new way to generate revenue is the most exciting part about myAuction. During the last nine months we have been running a pilot program of myAuction with several retailers, and the response has been phenomenal. We found that an average of only two items a month could bring the retailer an average of $10,000 in net commission.”

Retailers can offer this service at no cost to them, without having to train staff in diamond valuation and grading—the service is comprehensive. All processing, grading, and cataloging is done at Hoover & Strong’s facility. Auctions are held twice a month and feature loose diamonds and diamond jewelry items. Charles Garnier Presenting New Doublet Collection at JCK Las Vegas 2016

Jewelry brand Charles Garnier will present a new line of doublet gemstone jewelry at this year’s JCK Las Vegas show, held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. The collection, featuring clear-faceted quartz layered on top of mother-of-pearl, turquoise, or lapis lazuli and accented with pavé white sapphire, is comprises more than 200 styles with most pieces retailing for less than $500.

With the new collection, Charles Garnier is also introducing Pearlimar, a new stone incorporating a layer of mother-of-pearl in between blue turquoise and faceted quartz, for a look reminiscent of the Caribbean Sea.

Retailers and other visitors to JCK Las Vegas are welcome to visit the collection at Charlers Garnier’s location in Prestige at LUXURY, Booth P48, from May 31–June 6.
