Jewelers on the Fairway Charity Golf Outing Announced
Now in its 13th year, the annual Jewelers on the Fairway charity golf outing has announced its date and location: July 21 at the Manhattan Woods Golf Club in West Nyack, N.Y. The event, organized by Larry Gordon of LG Diamond Co./Shreeji Jewelry, Samir Mehta of Indigo Jewelry, and Steven Lerche of Goldstar Jewellery, supports Hope & Heroes, a fund dedicated to lifesaving work being done with regard to childhood cancer and blood disorders at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
To date, the event has raised more than $500,000 for charity, which hopes to provide for more than 40% of the program’s funding, ensuring that every child has access to high-quality, comprehensive care.

Jewelers Mutual Opens Dallas Office
Jewelry insurance provider Jewelers Mutual Group has announced its expansion with a new office in Dallas. This location, the first geographic expansion for the company, is dedicated to further developing services and technology platforms to better meet its customers’ growing needs.
“Adding a Dallas location and leveraging its advanced tech talent allows Jewelers Mutual to take jewelry protection to the next level,” said Adam Gerety, vice president of platform operations, in a statement. “As generations grow up and consumers’ needs for jewelry protection and security evolve, it’s important for us to anticipate the best way to serve our expanding customer base and continue innovating our products and services.”

HSNY Gala & Charity Auction Postponed, New Date Announced
The Horological Society of New York (HSNY) has announced it will postpone its 2020 Gala & Charity Auction, which was set for April 1, in response to ongoing coronavirus concerns.
The event has been moved to August 5, at the same venue, the Manhattan Penthouse, where its charity auction presented by Christie’s will take place.
The Henry B. Fried Scholarship recipients, which would have been announced at the upcoming event, will instead be announced via a press release on the society’s website on April 1.
