Venus Jewel Revamps Brand Identity

Mumbai-based diamond company Venus Jewel debuted a new look at last month’s JCK Las Vegas, after releasing social media teasers leading up to the show. In addition to its booth presence, the company was honored with a visit during JCK from Botswana president Mokgweetsi Masisi.

“The new logo and brand identity symbolize the essence of Venus Jewel’s evolution, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter in the company’s illustrious history,” the company said in a statement. “This transformation reflects the brand’s dedication to maintaining its pioneering vision, unending innovation, and customer-centricity while redefining the boundaries of excellence in the solitaire industry.”

Venus celebrated the new identity and its 55-plus-year journey with a special lamplighting ceremony at its Mumbai headquarters.

Gabriel Offers Digital COAs With GIA Diamond Verification

Bridal and fine jewelry brand Gabriel & Co. has introduced digital certificates of authenticity (COA) with GIA verification for all diamonds used in its fine jewelry, the company announced at this year’s Luxury by JCK show in Las Vegas.

“Customers deserve transparency and confidence in their purchases,” said CEO Jack Gabriel in a statement. “By introducing the certificate of authenticity with GIA natural diamond verification that is downloadable, we are setting a new standard in the industry for trust and integrity.”

As a Kimberley Process–compliant company, Gabriel & Co. seeks to improve transparency for consumers purchasing diamonds and recognizes the need for a comprehensive tracking system. Each of Gabriel & Co.’s pieces is inscribed with its own serial number, intended for quality control, accountability, and traceability.

“Gabriel & Co.’s digital certificate of authenticity is an important advancement in consumer protection that reinforces our shared commitment to fostering trust and integrity within the gem and jewelry industry,” said Susan Jacques, GIA president and CEO, in a statement. “By incorporating GIA’s meticulous diamond verification processes, this initiative offers consumers and jewelry retailers confidence in the authenticity and journey of their diamond jewelry.”

Fuli Peridot Now Available on U.K. Site the Curious Gem

Custodians of the world’s largest known peridot mine, Fuli Gemstones is collaborating with the Curious Gem, an online resource for jewelry designers seeking quality stones to use in their work. The Curious Gem serves as a dedicated online retailer of Fuli peridot, carrying a selection of calibrated gemstones suitable for independent jewelry designers.

Under its business model, Fuli Gemstones offers full traceability of its peridot from its Yiqisong Nashan mine in the Changbai Mountains of China, ensuring that the Curious Gem can provide a chain of custody to clients.

“We are really excited to be working together with Fuli to bring their beautiful peridot to the retail market,” said the Curious Gem founder Victoria Brown in a statement. “Designers will be able to buy fully traceable gemstones in small quantities at an affordable price point, satisfying the increasing consumer demand for traceable gemstones.”
