Sterling Jewelers’ senior vice president of human resources Steve Becker was recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Business with the Human Resources Executive of the Year Award in the public companies category.
“Steve’s vision and strategic approach has enabled human resources to add value to the business by focusing on Sterling’s most critical asset—our team members,” said Mark Light, Sterling’s president and CEO, in a statement.
Becker was presented with the award at the Crain’s Cleveland Business 2011 Archer Awards. The program honors Northeast Ohio’s talented human resources professionals who have consistently “hit the mark” by building their companies with a strategic combination of the best people, talent, development, and culture.
