There’s a new collection from the Los Angeles–based brand Future Fortune that’s so perfectly packed with elements both enduring and of the moment, it’s impossible to resist.
Dubbed Stargaze, this “ode to the beautiful unknown,” as it’s written in notes on the collection, is made in all 18k yellow gold with richly colored gemstones and diamonds.
“Stargaze honors the mystical magic of Mother Nature and evokes a psychedelic flair,” it says on the collection’s notes.
The brand’s signature lockets (a seriously underused category) are central to the collection, with options featuring emeralds, sapphires, and diamonds. In the Many Moons locket (shown above), a crescent moon glittering with diamonds hugs the outer curve of the pendant, opening to reveal a single round diamond and opposing crescent moon inside.
The Wizard and Love Potion lockets, both with options in emerald or sapphire, each open to reveal surprises of their own.
The cuff bracelets, named Mystic, took more than eight months to develop. An oval pink tourmaline or sapphire sits atop the curve of each cuff, surrounded with burnish-set diamonds, and beneath it, a hidden galaxy of moon and stars, visible only in the underside of the bracelet.
In a gorgeous mix of yellow and white gold, the Fortuity earrings dangle diamond constellations from various shapes and shades of morganite. With images of red carpet jewels fresh in my mind, these look the part for an important soiree.
My favorite is the Mother Earth pendant, a colorful coin-shape design boasting a large tourmaline—precisely the kind of bright, bold look this summer calls for. Maybe even more interesting than the over–6 carat gemstone at the front, though, is the hidden back: a pair of tall pine trees underneath a sky of stars and crescent moon.
Finally, the Lucky Charm ring gives us reason to believe its powers truly exist—with a constellation of glittering diamonds and hidden stars on the interior of the band, how could anyone wearing it feel anything but lucky?
