TikTok Refreshes Its Free Marketing Curriculum
TikTok has updated its educational component designed to help marketers use the platform’s promotional options.
“TikTok Academy, the official learning destination for marketers and agencies, has just leveled up,” TikTok said in a statement. “With enhanced learning content, hosted on a brand-new interface, it’s your ultimate go-to destination to become an expert in TikTok ads.”
This is the third update to TikTok Academy, which was introduced in 2022. Curriculum is divided into five subject areas: TikTok basics, building brand awareness, driving website conversions, promoting your app, and generating leads. Courses are free, and most course series take under an hour to complete.
Instagram Introduces Messaging Filters
Instagram has added new filters intended to make it easier for creators to sort through message requests and find the most relevant inquiries in their inboxes.
The filters allow creators to reorder direct messages they receive based on senders’ follower counts, to identify DMs from verified or brand accounts or other creators, and more. Also new is a dedicated “Story replies” folder, to help separate replies from regular DMs.
“When you go to the requests inbox, sometimes it can be really overwhelming, and I’ve heard this a lot from creators I’ve talked around the world,” said Instagram chief Adam Mosseri in a statement. “So what we’ve done is we’ve added ways to filter down those requests to just see the ones that you’re looking for.”
While the new feature wouldn’t be vital for the everyday Instagram user, businesses with a lot of followers and engagement on their accounts should find the filters useful for managing interactions.
