The Jewelers 24 Karat Club of Southern California will honor Martin Rapaport, Douglas Kazanjian, and Carl Larson at its 80th annual dinner and dance.

The event will be held on Sept. 28 at a new venue, Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

Rapaport will receive the group’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He established Rapaport Group in 1978, and it’s since become known for its diamond price list, information services, auctions, and trading network.

Kazanjian, CEO of Kazanjian Beverly Hills, has been chosen for the club’s Excellence in Service Award. He is the third generation of his family to lead the 111-year-old estate jewelry firm. Kazanjian regularly searches the world for rare gems and jewels from private estates—his finds include a 5.05 ct. red diamond in 2007.

Larson, director of gems at Pala International, will be given the Rising Star Award. Larson is known for selling high-quality gemstones to large brands and auction houses. In 2023, he won his first AGTA Spectrum Award for jewelry design.
