Colored gemstones are hot for summer—who doesn’t love a pop of something bright to celebrate our season in the sun?—and the family-run Simon G. recently learned that firsthand.

The California-based jeweler, which has been in business for nearly 40 years, saw almost every piece of colored gemstone jewelry that it shared on Instagram sell within 48 hours of its posting. It was clear the brand’s followers were soaking up the color in a big way.

So Zaven Ghanimian—CEO of Simon G. and son of the brand’s founder, Simon Ghanimian—saw an opportunity to showcase some of the brand’s lost exquisite colorful pieces: a selection of pink and green tourmaline gemstone jewels. Hand-selected from rough in Brazil, they have been in his father’s private vault for over a decade.

Father and son worked together to turn the gemstones into gorgeous one-of-a-kind pieces just in time for those summer demands, resulting in a collection that tantalizes with its juicy color and bright, cheery disposition.

A total of 14 pieces comprise the limited-edition collection, which features earrings, pendants, and rings. It will only be available online through Aug. 9, a timeline that creates a bit of urgency for those customers trying to get their color fix. If the pieces don’t sell out by that time—and, based on reported demand, that is a big if—select retailers will likely carry them in-store.
