Seiko has opened its first boutique in the United States on New York’s Madison Avenue.
A grand opening celebration was held on Tuesday with president and CEO Shinji Hattori and Seiko brand ambassador (and Wimbledon champion) Novak Djokovic.
Hattori shared his excitement with the crowd of approximately 150 guests, stating: “The opening of the U.S. market’s first boutique in New York City is achieving a passionate goal of mine, as I believe that the U.S. market is the most important for Seiko outside of Japan. He continued: “This is just the start of the U.S. market.”
The new boutique is located at 510 Madison Avenue and joins Seiko boutiques in Paris, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Cairo, and Tokyo.
