Share

Scott Friedman, who worked for International Gemological Institute (IGI) for 18 years before leaving in 2023, rejoined the grading lab in August, according to a post in LinkedIn.

Friedman is now serving as the lab’s head of strategy and operations. His previous title was senior director of strategy and operations, though he also was the lab’s director of business development and marketing manager.

In July, Tiffany Stevens, the former head of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, joined the lab as chief business officer and head of sustainability for IGI’s North American branch. Blackstone Group has owned the lab since 2023.
