Bonhams is sending 307 fine jewelry pieces to the auction block in its California Jewels sale on Nov. 19, with a Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. diamond bracelet (pictured), estimated to sell for $20,000–$30,000, among the leading lots.

Designer Jean Schlumberger, who had a workshop at Tiffany from the 1950s into the 1970s, was known for his imaginative and nature-inspired creations. His bracelet in Bonhams’ sale features sculpted gold links adorned with platinum fronds, each embedded with round diamonds. A total of 4.75 cts. of diamonds are in the piece.

Another highlight of the sale is a Van Cleef & Arpels necklace with a 4.95 ct. heart-shape yellow sapphire and 1.2 cts. t.w. round diamonds. Its presale estimate is $10,000–$15,000.

The auction will offer designs from other prestigious maisons, such as Bulgari, Seaman Schepps, Elizabeth Locke, Verdura, and David Webb, as well as many vibrant colored stones.

“California Jewels has a wonderful selection of jewelry from exceptional jewelers with quality-color gemstones of rubies, emeralds, sapphires, spinels, and of course diamonds presented in designs of exquisite craftsmanship,” said Allison Osborn, Bonhams’ head of sale in Los Angeles, in a statement.

Several pieces in the California Jewels sale come from the estate of Cortney Beebe, a collector and philanthropist who lived in Naples, Fla., prior to her death in August 2024.

“The exquisite selection of jewelry embodies her taste and discernment as a collector,” Osborn said. “The vendor, Cortney Beebe’s husband, Kevin Beebe, will donate his proceeds to the Cortney and Kevin Beebe TNBC Research Fund, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Breast Cancer Center.”
