The 27th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, celebrating the best in film and TV in 2020, aired last night as a pretaped program, without a host.
But the show’s tamer, piecemeal formatting (celebs are still beaming in from their backyards!) didn’t stop Hollywood’s top stylists from creating gorgeous, formal looks for their A-list clients.
Last night’s jewelry parade was heavy on the diamonds, and though yellow gold popped up here and there, white metals—platinum and white gold—ruled.
Heritage jewelers dominated the evening, placing marquee designs on celebs including Viola Davis and Cynthia Erivo, who both wore diamond pieces from De Beers’ Forevermark brand; Golda Rosheuvel and Jurnee Smollett, who donned Bulgari statement pieces; Zosia Mamet, who piled on Fred Leighton diamond rings; and Nicola Coughlin, who gilded her black lace Christian Siriano gown with a pair of brown diamond rings (edgy!) from De Beers.
Below are my 10 favorite jewelry looks from the awards—plus one: Golda Rosheuvel, who portrayed Bridgerton’s deliciously haughty queen, did a costume change for the show, and the looks were so chic, I was compelled to include both.
