In the heart of Aspen Village, Colo., is Sotheby’s Aspen, a gallery featuring rotating exhibits all year that bring together art, design, and luxury lifestyle—all with a snowcapped-mountain backdrop. Now through Jan. 6, as part of a larger “Snowfall: Surface & Seeing” selling exhibition, which explores the textures and colors of an Aspen winter through works of art, high jewelry brand Sabba has created more than 20 pieces exclusively for Sotheby’s.
Founded by Italian designer Alessandro Sabbatini, who spent years perfecting his craft at Cartier, Sabba produces approximately 30–40 pieces per year, all one of a kind. “I feel honored and humbled to present my new collection with Sotheby’s against the beautiful backdrop of Aspen,” said Sabba. “For this most special occasion, I have designed a collection partly inspired by the elements of the winter mountain and Colorado’s stunning landscape. I have always been fascinated by the ice, the snow, and the rocks that are so closely associated with this part of the country, and I am grateful to Sotheby’s for giving me the opportunity to translate this appreciation into a capsule collection I present with immense pride.”
The pieces range from $20,000 to $150,000. Here’s a closer look at a few currently on view.
Sotheby’s Aspen (534 East Cooper Avenue) is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
