Plenty of jewelers are familiar, and do very well, with the stylish, stretchy bracelets from Italian designer Roberto Demeglio, who also has a solid celebrity following (hello, Oprah!) and received prominent feature in Greenwich St. Jewelers’ 2018 holiday lookbook.
The brand recently debuted a new interactive display format for exhibiting its jewelry, one that lets you try on and experiment with the creations at your leisure, not unlike the way products are presented in an Apple store.
One such collection you will want to get your hands on is Demeglio’s new Scacco line, which can be seen at JCK Luxury 2019 after a successful debut at Baselworld 2019.
Scacco translates literally to check in English, but the phrase also pops up in reference to gioco di scacchi or the game of chess. As such, Demeglio’s Scacco designs combine his signature ceramic and diamond pavé in graphic checkerboard arrangements.
Scacco is the evolution of Demeglio’s Domino and Pura collections, with more defined and distinctive links, retaining the line of the brand’s signature brick-laid patterns and glossy, gleaming surfaces paired with the sparkle of stones or the warmth of polished or etched gold.
All the designs are mounted on Demeglio’s patented spring-coil system, which makes them easy to slide on and off. Customers who have started a collection of the bracelets will find that the new Scacco styles add an eye-catching element to their existing stacks or provide the foundation for an altogether new way to mix and match.
Currently, the Scacco collection is available in black and white shiny or matte ceramic and diamonds, and there are also versions in three colors of 18k gold available with black, champagne, or white diamonds.
Top: Lots of newness coming your way from Roberto Demeglio, including this Scacco bracelet stack (JCK Luxury, booth 1013); $448–$6,338 each
