Richard Tilles and Edward Miller

CIRCA has appointed Richard Tilles and Edward Miller, both veterans of the company, to executive positions.

Tilles will be the president of the core division, responsible for the management of all buying and selling of pre-owned jewelry and of the company’s 13 buying offices. He was a founding member of CIRCA in 2001 and left in 2007. Most recently he was the president of Richard Tilles Inc., which specialized in buying and selling pre-owned jewelry and gemstones.

“I am honored and excited to return to CIRCA, whose leading position as the buyer of important jewelry, watches, and gemstones has continued to grow significantly beyond our founding—both here in New York and abroad,” Tilles said. “I look forward to working with our great team of professionals to take the CIRCA brand to the next level.”

Miller has been named senior director of CIRCA Solutions, the division he founded when he merged his company with CIRCA in 2007. In his new role he will manage all buying and selling of luxury watches and branded jewelry from manufacturers, retailers, and distributors.

“This segment of CIRCA’s overall business has great potential,” Miller said. “Our main job will be to reconnect with many of the manufacturers, distributors, and retailers who have dealt with CIRCA Solutions, letting them again experience the many benefits of our careful management of their overstocks.”

CIRCA CEO Laurence R. Grunstein added that the company was thrilled to have convinced both men to return.
