In response to industry requests for greater synergy, trade show rivals Reed Expositions France and GL Events are collaborating as of the January 2014 trade show Bijorhca Paris Jan. 24–27 (a second show takes place Sept. 6–8). To wit, the 22-year-old Printor fair organized by GL Events is merging with Reed’s Bijorhca event to create one massive show for industry to attend.
Printor exhibitors will have its own dedicated area at the new event, still called Bijorhca Paris, which takes place at Porte de Versailles and will serve as the first trade event in France devoted exclusively to “fine and fashion jewellery, watchmaking, and affiliated sectors,” according to a joint release issued by the shows this week.
“I very much welcome this new alliance, which I am certain will be good news for all market sectors,” said Richard Martin, deputy and artistic director for Bijorhca Paris, to the media this week. “Reed Expositions will build on the individual strengths of each show, combining their experience and know-how to create the number one event for fine and fashion jewellery, watchmaking, and affiliated sectors.”
